Schuyler County Busted Mugshots is a private reference service, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, pull an official booking file, or change a court record. Those questions must go to the agency that created or holds the record.
Official Schuyler Contacts
Use the contact that matches the record. The sheriff and jail handle county booking and custody. The Circuit Clerk handles criminal cases and dispositions. Rushville Police may hold a city arrest report. Published phone information has one discrepancy, so verify the active sheriff number before mailing a request.

Rushville Police Department
220 West Washington Street
Rushville, Illinois 62681
217-322-6633
Fax 217-322-2076
Its official page states 24/7 availability. Ask for the current police-records procedure because no public arrest-log form was located.
The county’s general offices are listed at 102 South Congress Street, Rushville, with general hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. That general schedule is not a promise that the sheriff records counter or jail answers FOIA requests at all hours.
Where to Ask for Each Record
Begin with the county record route when the question concerns an arrest or booking. Then move to the appropriate state or federal system if the custody facts point there.
- For a booking record, booking photo, current custody, release, transfer, or roster question, contact the Schuyler County Sheriff and Jail. The home page explains the written FOIA request and the missing live-web-roster issue.
- For a Rushville incident report or city-created arrest record, use the Rushville Police Department contact page and ask for its records custodian.
- For a case number, court date, dismissal, plea, conviction, sentence, or expungement filing, contact the Circuit Clerk. A court search is not necessarily a live warrant confirmation.
- For a current sentenced state prisoner’s status or photo, use the Illinois Department of Corrections Individual in Custody Search. Former individual photos are confidential under IDOC’s published policy.
- For a federal inmate, use the Bureau of Prisons locator. It is a status locator, not a public booking-photo gallery.
- For possible immigration custody, use the ICE Online Detainee Locator only when the facts point to ICE custody. It is not a Schuyler County mugshot source.
- For a public-safety tip, use the current sheriff app instructions or a verified law-enforcement route. Call 911 for an emergency and never approach someone based on an online name or image.
How to Send a Booking Request
No current Schuyler booking-photo form, dedicated records email, or online sheriff portal was verified. Under Illinois FOIA, a written request may be delivered by hand, mail, fax, or electronic means. Call first to confirm the current FOIA officer and accepted delivery method.
- Give the full name, booking or arrest date, arresting agency, and booking number if known.
- Ask for the booking record, the photo if releasable, charges as entered, remarks, facility, and discharge or transfer field.
- Request non-exempt portions if another field is withheld, and ask for the statutory basis.
- Ask for an electronic copy and a fee estimate before a reproduction charge is incurred.
- Keep the request, delivery proof, response, and any record together for correction or review.
The county did not publish a separate booking-photo fee. The Circuit Clerk’s $6 per-name search fee and copy schedule apply to the court office, not automatically to a sheriff request.
