Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice describes what Schuyler County Busted Mugshots receives when a visitor uses the pages, search tools, or contact route, how that information is used, and when it may be shared. Using the pages means accepting these practices. Government and third-party destinations linked from the record pages have their own policies once a visitor leaves this service.

Information You Send

Search terms

A name, place, or other value entered into a search box is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Schuyler County Busted Mugshots does not store or log those search terms on its own systems.

Messages

An email or contact message is kept long enough to read it and reply. It is not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law or necessary to address a legal or security matter.

Technical Data Collected

Like most public websites, the service may receive basic technical information when a page loads. This helps with security, performance, and problem solving.

  • IP address or similar network identifier.
  • Browser name and version.
  • Device type and operating system.
  • Pages viewed and the time spent on them.
  • The referring page, when a browser provides it.
  • Access dates and timestamps.

Cookies and similar tools

Cookies may be used to understand how visitors use the pages and to support advertising or search features. Browser settings can block or delete cookies. Some features may act differently when they are blocked.

How Information Is Used

Information described above may be used for the following ordinary service functions:

  • Keep the pages available, responsive, and secure.
  • Send a search request to the correct partner tool.
  • Learn which pages and explanations are useful.
  • Find errors, abuse, outages, and technical defects.
  • Show advertising that may be relevant to a visitor’s interests.

Links Outside This Service

The record pages link to sheriff and police pages, jail or booking sources, the Illinois Department of Corrections, courts, federal locators, archives, news outlets, and third-party search tools. Their privacy practices apply after a visitor follows a link. This service does not control how an outside office or provider handles a query, cookie, form, or contact message.

Some advertising partners may observe activity across different sites to support interest-based advertising. That tracking occurs on the partner’s systems, subject to its own notice and choices.

Who May Receive Data

Personal information is not sold by Schuyler County Busted Mugshots. It may be available to the service providers and authorities needed for the functions described here.

  • Search partners that receive a submitted query.
  • Analytics providers that help measure page use.
  • Advertising networks and their technical partners.
  • Law-enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order or other lawful demand requires disclosure.

Security Limits

Reasonable standard safeguards are used for an internet service, but no connected system is completely secure. This notice is not a promise that a breach, interception, outage, or other security event is impossible.

Visitors Under 18

The pages are intended for adults. The service does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor submitted a message or other personal data, a parent or guardian may use the Get in Touch page to request review and deletion.

Your Privacy Choices

Subject to applicable law and reasonable identity checks, a visitor may ask about personal information held in connection with a message or service interaction.

  • Request a copy of personal data held.
  • Ask for inaccurate personal information to be corrected.
  • Request deletion when there is no reason to retain it.
  • Ask to opt out of certain processing, cookies, or interest-based advertising.

Requests can be sent through Get in Touch. A request about an official booking, court record, or photo must go to the originating government custodian, not this private service.

Changes to This Notice

Privacy practices and technology can change. An updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after a change means the revised notice applies to later use.
